Primary qualifications: BMBCh MA (Cantab) MRCP MRCGP DCH PGDip (Health Research)

Dr Ashdown works in the practice on Thursdays and has clinical interests in respiratory disease and child health. She also runs the clinical research studies in the practice and teaches basic life support to the team.  Dr Ashdown is an academic GP and spends most of her time as a clinical researcher at the University of Oxford where she is carrying out research into the primary care management of COPD. She is Tutor at Somerville College and Research Lead for the Primary Care Respiratory Society.  She enjoys hillwalking (now with toddler in tow) and her claim to fame is winning an IgNobel prize for her research on speed bumps in the diagnosis of appendicitis!
